PEM for hydrogen production
Proton exchange membrane is used to electrolyze water to produce hydrogen, and the raw material is pure water to reduce the pollution of waste liquid and gas. Water undergoes a hydrolysis reaction on the anode, and is split into protons under the action of an electric field and a catalyst. Proton exchange membrane: The sulfonic acid group inside the proton exchange membrane can conduct protons, so that 4H+ protons can reach the cathode through the proton exchange membrane under the action of potential difference.
Electron Conduction: 4e - Electrons are conducted through an external circuit.Hydrogen evolution: A 4H++4e- reaction occurs on the cathode, hydrogen is evolved, and hydrogen and oxygen are separated.Formation of pressure: In the cathode cavity, as the amount of hydrogen produced increases, the pressure gradually increases until it reaches the predetermined pressure.
