CNG Filling Post

The core working principle of a CNG filling column is to transport high-pressure CNG from the filling station to the tank truck through a pressure difference, while completing metering and safety control. The specific process is as follows:

1. Gas Source Connection and Pressure Matching

The filling column is connected to the on-site CNG storage cylinder bank or compressor via high-pressure pipelines. The pressure of the incoming CNG is usually 20-25MPa. The equipment first detects the current pressure of the tank truck, and adjusts it through built-in valves to establish a stable pressure difference, which provides power for gas transportation.

2. Filling Process and Flow Metering

After the pressure difference is formed, the high-pressure CNG passes through a filter device to remove impurities and then enters the core metering module. The metering module uses a high-precision flowmeter (such as a Coriolis flowmeter) to collect real-time data on gas flow, pressure, and temperature, and converts it into a standard volume to ensure the accuracy of trade settlement. After metering, the gas is injected into the CNG tank truck's storage cylinder through a filling hose and quick connector.

3. Safety Control and Automatic Shutdown

During the filling process, the safety protection system monitors pressure, temperature, and leakage conditions throughout. When the tank truck pressure reaches a preset value (usually consistent with the gas source pressure) or an abnormality (such as overpressure or leakage) is detected, the equipment will automatically close the filling valve and stop gas supply. Some high-end models also have multiple protection functions such as overfill prevention, backflow prevention, and emergency shutdown to ensure filling safety.

4. Metering Settlement and Data Recording

After filling is completed, the equipment automatically calculates the filling volume and amount (if settlement is involved) based on the data collected by the metering module, and generates a printed receipt. At the same time, it records parameters such as filling time, pressure, and flow, facilitating subsequent query and management.
